Raised in Beloit, Wisconsin, Dr. Spooner was mentored from an early age by her father who practiced obstetrics and gynecology there for 18 years. She completed her undergraduate studies at Brown University and double majored in biology and American history. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude, Brown’s highest honor. After attending Brown University Medical School, she then completed her OB-GYN residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Dr. Spooner became board certified and practiced obstetrics and gynecology for 4 years in Maryland and Virginia at Holy Cross and Fairfax Hospitals. She then decided to focus her attention on gynecology and opened her practice in Loudoun County in 2006.
Dr. Spooner lives in Fairfax County with her husband and two children. She enjoys swimming, cooking, reading and traveling with her family.
